free at last

After 22 years of being a student, I am free at last. 

...that is until the bondage otherwise known as residency begins. 

it's that time of the year...

for weddings galore!  two down, six to go.  but no complaints, very happy memories and good chances to see old friends.

i've been really bored.  not used to free time.  (can't you tell? - i'm actually updating my xanga.)  anyone want to save me from my boredom?? 

Ruf and Powerpuff Girl

Since he was a puppy, Rufus always had a particular attraction to Powerpuff Girl.  

But today, she had a little too much lovin'.

Poor Ruf, his bff is no more.  :(

On a brighter note, I'm graduating in 16 days!  :)

i say this every single time, but ... it's been a really long time since i've updated.  looking back at my last entry, what really amazes me is how our little boy is all grown up.  he can be a handful, but we love him all the same.

how could you not love this crazy face????

just one more (i can't help but be a proud mom showing off my pics). 

i always wondered what rufus, my ordinarily super-crazy dog, does all day while we're out at work or school.  today i was given a study day to prepare for my surgery exams. so i've been sitting on my sofa all day surrounded by powerpoint slides, textbooks and handouts, while my dog who is usually either (a) running around in circles throughout the apartment and snatching shoes from the shoe rack or (b) running up and jumping down the stairs or (c) running into the bathroom to steal the toilet brush (d) jumping up onto the dining room table to steal napkins, textbooks, coke cans or food or (e) running into the bedroom to steal socks from the bottom drawer or (f) jumping onto the sofa to lick my face or  (i think you get the idea)...

WELL this very same rufus has spent the ENTIRE DAY under the coffee table in vaious positions just SLEEPING.  he hasn't made a single effort to steal one of my papers strewn around the living room or to knock over my coke can laying on the floor.  i've even fallen asleep a few times just to wake up and find him snoring away, enjoying his doggie day dreams, occasionally opening eyes to make sure i'm still around. 

a sleepy rufus is a good rufus.
